In this video, we share our experience going to small claims court after a tenant filed a lawsuit against us, claiming we failed to properly maintain a property. The situation stemmed from a flood caused when water was left running in an upstairs bathroom—an unfortunate incident that led to significant damage and ultimately, a legal dispute.
We want to emphasize that situations like this are extremely rare for us—this was only the second time we’ve ever had to go to small claims court.
